Hi! I’m Janne!
I’m an animal-loving creative professional with a heart full of care for both cats and dogs. I’ve been around animals since childhood, and although I currently don’t have pets of my own, I care for others’ pets as if they were my own.
Originally from Finland, I now live a flexible and remote-working life between the U.S. and Europe. My base is in Honolulu, Hawaii – but I’m open to house and pet sitting opportunities on other islands too.
💖 Why Animals Matter to Me
Animals have always been an important part of my life:
- I grew up with small pets like hamsters and fish.
- In adulthood, I shared my home with multiple cats for many years.
- Since relocating permanently to the U.S., I’ve focused on pet sitting instead of owning pets – offering care and companionship to animals while supporting pet owners.
Whether it’s dogs that love activity or cats who crave calm, I adapt to their personality and needs with patience and love.
🏠 House Sitting & Pet Care Experience
Since 2017, I’ve cared for pets regularly, especially in the Silicon Valley area:
I’ve looked after pets with different temperaments and routines – gaining deep experience with both playful pups and chill cats.
I managed a startup incubator in a large house in Palo Alto – alongside a variety of resident pets!
At my own home in Mountain View, I continuously hosted and cared for cats and dogs – often back-to-back, month after month.
🎯 Why I Do This
Pet care isn’t just a service to me – it’s a source of joy, structure, and meaning.
- Walking a dog gives rhythm and purpose to the day.
- Feeding and grooming pets brings peace and presence.
- Cats remind me to slow down and be fully in the moment.
Especially while working remotely and building my company, these natural pauses and connections are not just helpful – they’re essential.
💼 My Work Background
I come from a background in media and TV production, but I now work in virtual production and creative technology.
